As a coffee lover and a cat mom, I can’t resist finding ways to blend the two—and that includes pet names! If you’re on the hunt for coffee names for cats, whether inspired by your favorite brew, coffee brands, or café culture, I’ve got you covered.
When we brought home our Siamese kitten over two years ago, we named her Bella—not because of coffee, but simply because we loved the name.
It wasn’t until later that I realized there’s actually a coffee connection to the name Bella — Bella Housewares makes coffee makers! So while her name wasn’t intentionally inspired by my coffee obsession, it somehow still fits.
Bella has been ruling our house ever since, making her opinions known and demanding attention at the most inconvenient (yet adorable) times.
If you’re a fellow coffee enthusiast looking for the perfect name for your new feline friend, you’re in the right place.
Let’s dive into some of the best coffee names for cats that are as bold, sweet, and unique as your favorite cup of coffee.
Product-Based Coffee Names for Cats

- Blonde – A light roast coffee, perfect for a lightly colored cat

Coffee Roasters That Support Pets
If you love coffee and animals, consider supporting these roasters that give back to pet rescues!
- Sydney Roasting Co roasts up a variety of blends, including cat-named flavors through Kitty Town Coffee. Each blend is named after a cat and every bag you buy helps provide food to homeless cats as they wait in shelters to find permanent homes.
- Hugo Coffee Roasters supports Paws for Life and Nuzzles & Co when you shop with them.
- Rescue Coffee Co. is based in Nova Scotia and donates 10% of proceeds to partnering animal rescue organizations.

Final Thoughts: Coffee Names for Cats Are Purrfect!
Bella might not be the most obvious coffee-inspired name, but I love that it still connects to my favorite drink. And if you’re welcoming a new kitten into your home, a coffee name for your cat is a fun way to show off your love for both coffee and cats!

An unlikely, but fun pair! 🙂

Thank you so much! We love her to pieces! 🙂
Such a cute post. I love the name Java. Stealing that 😂
I love that name too! Such a good cat name.
I love these names!! My grandma had a cat years ago named Cinnamon!
That’s such a cute name for a cat! Love it.
Omg! I never thought to think of coffee names for cats! This is so cute!
Thanks for reading Jill! Glad you enjoyed the post!
I love cats and coffee. I never thought about naming my cat after coffee but I like the idea. Sweet photos.
Ha, this was a cute post, and who knew coffee pots and chairs were named Bella. I loved the names you gave too. Maybe it’s me, but I could def see the name Kona being a big fluffy cat.
I know, right?! Who knew? Kona would be perfect for a big fluffy cat!
We live on a farm and have several barn cats without names–yet. Now I have several to choose from. 🙂
Hi Gina! Thanks so much for reading. Barn cats are great and when you have a few of them names can be challenging! I’m glad I was able to give you some ideas!
These are great names. I haven’t had a kitten in 13 years because my male is too aggressive, but I’ll have to keep these names in mind if we ever get a kitten. My son is very good at names. He named my cat Yeti the Adorable Snowman and his cat is Waldo Frey (a Game of Thrones reference) and also so they can say Where’s Waldo!
Thanks for the laugh Adrian; I love the cat names in your family, so funny and clever!
Such a fun post to read!! Now I need a cat LOL!!! I think my favorite name on the list is Peaberry – such an adorable name for a little nugget. Thanks for bringing a smile to my face with your post today 🙂
Thanks for reading Karen! That’s one I really liked too since it ties to one of my favorite coffee blends at the moment! 🙂
I named mine Finley. He’s a hot mess! So many great names here!
Finley is a great name for a cat! I like it!
Great names! How about Frappuccino or Frappé? I think Tiramisu sounds adorable. It is an Italian coffee-soaked dessert. And for the coffee bean, there is Berry or Beans. Also, after the coffee companies you named that are animal friendly, Sydney & Hugo. Plus, I just found out about a healthy latté company with a name that doubles as a cute cat name, which is Blume.
The list could go on & on. Have you ever thought about updating the list in an ongoing fashion? I’ve come across quite a few bloggers on Pinterest who do that. Thank you for such a fun & creative blog post!
My favorite type of drink to get at a coffee shop is Latte too! If I ever get a cat I think Latte is the perfect name. I love all of these names. So cute!
Thanks so much for commenting Kelly! I totally agree latte is a great name for a cat!
